Rebecca Ahmadi was first introduced to the art of ballet in Colombia, South America, where she spent the first fourteen years of her life. Upon returning to the United States, she began serious ballet training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Rebecca earned her B.A. in Dance from Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi in 2005 and began teaching in various studios in Pennsylvania and Georgia including Susquehanna Dance Center, The Georgia Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet. Rebecca joined Refuge in 2010 as a company member and choreographer. She was appointed Assistant Artistic Director in 2016. Rebecca also completed her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling in 2012 and works as a psychotherapist for children. When she is not dancing, Rebecca loves to read, draw, visit the Botanical Gardens, and travel with her husband.
